ABOUT

Attorney Stevenson is a native of Brandon, Mississippi, and a graduate of Brandon High School.  He furthered his education at the historic Tougaloo College, where he majored in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting.  During his collegiate years, Attorney Stevenson also had the opportunity to study at the University of Mississippi, Pennsylvania State University, Iowa State University, and the University of California, Los Angeles. 

 After college, Damon furthered his studies at the Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson.  While in law school, Attorney Stevenson received the Best Paper Award in Land Use Control and the AmJur Award for Trial Practice. Additionally, he had the opportunity to represent the law school on trial teams and work in the Rankin County Prosecutor’s Office and the Rankin County Youth Court.

 Following law school, Attorney Stevenson began his distinguished law career by serving as a staff attorney at the Mission First Legal Aid Office.  While providing legal representation to indigent individuals, Damon learned the importance of ensuring quality legal representation is available to every individual, regardless of their financial means.  Attorney Stevenson was also employed by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Mississippi Youth Justice Project. While working for the non-profit law firm, Damon served on the legal team of young people throughout the state of Mississippi who were facing legal issues related to criminal and educational matters.  Attorney Stevenson has also been employed by the United States District Court, where he was responsible for conducting pre-sentencing investigations and advising federal judges on issues regarding sentencing and disposition of criminal cases prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.  Having been a former federal probation officer, Damon knows firsthand how to successful represent individual charged with a criminal offense.

Since leaving government service, Attorney Stevenson had dedicated 100% of his practice to providing regular people with aggressive legal representation to ensure the best outcome. Attorney Stevenson has practiced law in courtrooms for North Mississippi to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  He has represented individuals charged with everything from misdemeanors to capital murder.  He has argued cases all the way to the Mississippi Court of Appeals and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.   He has represented injured individuals against insurance companies, trucking companies, and fortune 500 companies.
